How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Ardent Elementalist, adding CC.
2. When Ardent Elementalist dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Ardent Elementalist on top of your library from your graveyard.
3. Cast Hit the Mother Lode by paying 4, exiling Ardent Elementalist from the top of your library and casting it without paying its mana cost, and creating six tapped Treasure artifact tokens.
4. When Ardent Elementalist and the Treasures enter the battlefield, Amulet of Vigor triggers six times and Ardent Elementalist triggers once.
5. Resolve all Amulet of Vigor triggers, untapping the Treasures.
6. Resolve the Ardent Elementalist trigger, returning Hit the Mother Lode from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Activate five Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 2.
8. Repeat.

This loop turns a high-cost sorcery into a self-sustaining engine by turning every death and entry into a cascade of resources. When you cast Hit the Mother Lode, its discover mechanic effortlessly finds Ardent Elementalist off the top of your library while spitting out six Treasure tokens, which Amulet of Vigor immediately untaps so they are ready to be sacrificed. Meanwhile, Mortuary ensures that whenever Ashnod's Altar claims Ardent Elementalist for mana, the creature goes straight back to the top of your library waiting to be cast again. Ardent Elementalist's own entry ability then recycles Hit the Mother Lode right back to your hand, leaving you with an infinite supply of mana, treasures, and death triggers to overwhelm the table.
