How it works

1. Activate Thermopod's second ability by sacrificing Ardent Elementalist, adding .
2. When Ardent Elementalist dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Ardent Elementalist on top of your library from your graveyard.
3. Cast Hit the Mother Lode by paying 4, exiling Ardent Elementalist from the top of your library and casting it without paying its mana cost, and creating six tapped Treasure artifact tokens.
4. When Ardent Elementalist and the Treasures enter the battlefield, Amulet of Vigor triggers six times and Ardent Elementalist triggers once.
5. Resolve all Amulet of Vigor triggers, untapping the Treasures.
6. Resolve the Ardent Elementalist trigger, returning Hit the Mother Lode from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Activate six Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 4.
8. Repeat.

This engine locks in a perpetual loop by turning Mortuary and Thermopod into a grim recycling center for Ardent Elementalist, ensuring every trip to the graveyard instantly puts the creature right back on top of your library. From there, Hit the Mother Lode blasts off to discover the Elementalist, casting it for free and flooding your board with tapped Treasure tokens that Amulet of Vigor immediately wakes up. The Treasures then provide the red mana needed to replay the sorcery, while Ardent Elementalist retrieves Hit the Mother Lode from the graveyard to hand to do it all over again.
