How it works

1. Activate Fertilid by paying 1 and removing a +1/+1 counter from it, causing you to search your library for a basic land card and put it on the battlefield untapped due to Amulet of Vigor.
2. When the basic land enters, Amulet of Vigor, Lotus Cobra and Thranduil's Company trigger.
3. Resolve the Amulet of Vigor trigger, untapping the basic land.
4. Resolve the Lotus Cobra trigger, adding .
5. Resolve the Thranduil's Company trigger, putting two +1/+1 counters on Fertilid.
6. Activate the basic land by tapping it, adding 1.
7. Repeat.

This brilliant loop turns Fertilid into a self-sustaining land-tutoring engine by feeding its own counters right back into its ability. Amulet of Vigor ensures the lands you fetch enter untapped so they can immediately help pay for the activation, while Lotus Cobra steps in to generate extra mana with every landfall trigger. Meanwhile, Thranduil's Company provides the crucial growth engine by placing fresh +1/+1 counters back onto Fertilid every time a land enters, keeping the metallic beast perpetually stocked with ammo.
