How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Eternal Witness, adding CC.
2. When Eternal Witness dies, Mortuary triggers, putting Eternal Witness on top of your library from your graveyard.
3. Cast Hit the Mother Lode by paying 4, exiling Eternal Witness from the top of your library and casting it without paying its mana cost, and creating seven tapped Treasure artifact tokens.
4. When Eternal Witness and the Treasures enter the battlefield, Amulet of Vigor triggers seven times and Eternal Witness triggers once.
5. Resolve all Amulet of Vigor triggers, untapping the Treasures.
6. Resolve the Eternal Witness trigger, returning Hit the Mother Lode from your graveyard to your hand.
7. Activate five Treasures by tapping and sacrificing them, adding 2.
8. Repeat.

This fascinating loop relies on Hit the Mother Lode's Discover mechanic to continuously find and cast Eternal Witness from the top of your library for free, while Mortuary ensures the Witness goes right back to the top of your library whenever it leaves the battlefield. Ashnod's Altar provides the sacrifice outlet to send Eternal Witness to the graveyard and generates colorless mana to help cast your spells. Meanwhile, Amulet of Vigor is the crucial linchpin that untaps the massive influx of tapped Treasures generated by Hit the Mother Lode, which can then be sacrificed alongside Ashnod's Altar to easily fuel the entire loop indefinitely.
