How it works

1. Activate Liquimetal Coating by tapping it, causing Karn Liberated to become an artifact until end of turn.
2. Activate Vorel of the Hull Clade by paying and tapping it, doubling the number of counters on Karn Liberated.
3. Activate Karn Liberated by removing twelve loyalty counters from it, causing you to take an extra turn after this one.
4. Repeat each turn.

This ingenious setup turns the Planeswalker’s ultimate ability into a recurring engine by rewriting the rules of the battlefield and manipulating counters. Liquimetal Coating is the catalyst, temporarily transforming Karn Liberated into an artifact so that Vorel of the Hull Clade can target him to double his loyalty counters. With enough loyalty built up, Karn Liberated can safely cash in twelve counters to take an extra turn. Meanwhile, Ichormoon Gauntlet provides critical passive support, granting your planeswalkers a baseline proliferate ability and triggering additional counter placement whenever you cast noncreature spells, ensuring you can quickly rebuild the loyalty needed to repeat the process indefinitely.
