How it works

1. Cause Gyre Sage to become an artifact using Liquimetal Coating.
2. Activate Gyre Sage by tapping it, adding at least .
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Gyre Sage.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns an ordinary mana dork into an unstoppable green energy engine by fundamentally reshaping the board. First, Liquimetal Coating reaches out to turn Gyre Sage into an artifact in addition to its other types, making it a legal target for untapping. Once that transmutation is complete, you tap the modified Gyre Sage to tap for a massive amount of green mana, fueled by its accumulated +1/+1 counters. Finally, you funnel a portion of that green mana into Voltaic Construct's activation cost to untap Gyre Sage, leaving you with surplus mana and a refreshed creature ready to repeat the cycle indefinitely.
