How it works

1. Cause Selvala to become an artifact using Liquimetal Coating.
2. Activate Selvala by tapping it, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Selvala.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By turning Selvala, Eager Trailblazer into an artifact with Liquimetal Coating, she becomes a valid target for Voltaic Construct's untap ability. Once Selvala is suitably mechanized, you can tap her to generate a surge of colored mana based on your creatures' different powers, then use a portion of those funds to activate Voltaic Construct and ready her for another round. It is a wonderfully self-contained loop that transforms a simple transmutation into an endless engine of colored mana.
