How it works

1. Cause Fanatic of Rhonas to become an artifact using Liquimetal Coating.
2. Activate Fanatic of Rhonas by tapping it, adding
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Fanatic of Rhonas.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop transforms Fanatic of Rhonas into a powerhouse by leaning on Liquimetal Coating to temporarily make it an artifact. Once it is an artifact creature, it satisfies the conditions for its own ferocious ability—thanks to being a 4/4—allowing it to tap for a massive influx of four green mana. You then channel a portion of that green mana into Voltaic Construct's activation cost to untap Fanatic of Rhonas, leaving you with a net gain of green mana each cycle.
