How it works

1. Cause Arbor Adherent to become an artifact using Liquimetal Coating.
2. Activate Arbor Adherent by tapping it, adding at least 3.
3. Activate Voltaic Construct by paying 2, untapping Arbor Adherent.
4. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop turns an ordinary mana producer into an artifact creature so it can feed its own mechanical demands. By using Liquimetal Coating to paint Arbor Adherent as an artifact, you open the door for Voltaic Construct to step in and untap it using a portion of the mana it just generated. As long as Arbor Adherent yields enough mana to cover the activation cost of Voltaic Construct—netting positive energy each cycle—you can repeat the process indefinitely to generate infinite colored mana and endless untaps for your artifact creatures.
