How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Body Double, adding one mana of any color.
2. When Body Double leaves the battlefield, it triggers its Reveillark ability, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Reveillark.
3. Repeat.

This elegant recursion loop starts by casting Body Double to copy Reveillark directly from your graveyard, setting the stage for infinite value. By using Phyrexian Altar to sacrifice the copy, its leaves-the-battlefield trigger fires to pull Reveillark itself—which is actually Body Double returning to the battlefield once again as a copy of Reveillark—straight back out of the graveyard. Because Body Double can continually choose to copy the original Reveillark resting in your graveyard every time it re-enters, you can loop this sacrifice indefinitely to generate infinite colored mana along with an endless stream of death, entry, and sacrifice triggers.
