How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Reveillark, adding one mana of any color.
2. When Reveillark dies, it triggers, returning Activated Sleeper from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Reveillark.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Activated Sleeper, adding one mana of any color.
4. When Activated Sleeper dies, it triggers, returning Activated Sleeper from your graveyard to the battlefield as a copy of Reveillark.
5. Repeat from step 3.

This self-sustaining loop relies on a clever lineage of recursion enabled by Phyrexian Altar, which converts your sacrifices into a steady stream of mana while triggering the abilities of your creatures. When you sacrifice Reveillark to the Altar, its leaves-the-battlefield trigger pulls Activated Sleeper straight from your graveyard to the battlefield, allowing it to enter as a fresh copy of Reveillark. You then sacrifice that same Activated Sleeper to Phyrexian Altar, whose own death triggers the exact same loop anew because it is currently copying Reveillark. By continuously recycling this identity and paying no net cost thanks to the mana generated by Phyrexian Altar, you achieve an infinite cycle of life, death, and colored mana.
