How it works

1. Cast Appa by paying .

This clever loop relies on a historic cost reduction from Ballad of the Black Flag's final chapter to make recasting your legends completely free. Once the stage is set, you trigger an endless cycle of blinks: Appa, Steadfast Guardian enters to exile Aang, Airbending Master, and when Aang returns, he immediately exiles Appa in response. Because both are historic spells that now cost {2} less, you can cast them back and forth from exile for zero mana over and over again. As this engine spins, Appa pumps out 1/1 Ally tokens every time a spell is cast from exile, while Aang quietly racks up experience counters every time a creature leaves the battlefield to swell your army even further during your upkeep.
