How it works

1. Cast Whitemane Lion by paying 0 and 2 life due to Defiler of Faith and The Wind Crystal.
2. Defiler of Faith triggers, creating a 1/1 Soldier creature token.
3. When the Soldier enters, Daxos triggers, causing you to gain life.
4. Resolve Whitemane Lion. When it enters, it and Daxos trigger.
5. Resolve the Whitemane Lion trigger, returning it from the battlefield to your hand.
6. Resolve the Daxos trigger, causing you to gain life.
7. Repeat.

This clever loop achieves infinite creature tokens and lifegain by recursively casting and bouncing a single cat. With Defiler of Faith and The Wind Crystal working together to reduce the mana cost of white spells to zero, you can cast Whitemane Lion for free at instant speed. Each time the Lion enters the battlefield, its own trigger forces it right back to your hand, while Defiler of Faith and Daxos, Blessed by the Sun trigger to flood the board with Soldier tokens and an endless stream of life.
