How it works

1. Activate Fanatical Firebrand by tapping and sacrificing it.
2. When Fanatical Firebrand dies, Mortuary and Daxos trigger.
3. Resolve the Mortuary trigger, putting Fanatical Firebrand from your graveyard onto the top of your library.
4. Resolve the Daxos trigger, causing you to gain 1 life
5. Resolve the Fanatical Firebrand ability.
6. Cast Fanatical Firebrand from the top of your library by paying 1 life.
7. When Fanatical Firebrand enters, Daxos triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
8. Repeat.

This looping masterpiece turns a humble goblin into a lethal engine of endless repetition. Whenever you activate Fanatical Firebrand to hurl a final point of damage at your target, Mortuary catches it on its way to the grave and neatly tucks it right back onto the top of your library. From there, Gwenom, Remorseless lets you cast the Firebrand straight off the library deck while neatly bypassing its mana cost by paying a single point of life instead. Meanwhile, Daxos, Blessed by the Sun patiently watches the cycle, feeding you a steady stream of lifegain triggers to comfortably offset the life you're paying to Gwenom—ultimately letting you burn down any target with an infinite storm of fire and sacrifice.
