How it works

1. Erayo counters the first spell cast, and Eidolon of Rhetoric only lets player cast one spell a turn.

This devastating lockdown relies on Erayo, Soratami Ascendant to fundamentally dismantle your opponents' ability to interact with the game. Once you flip it into Erayo's Essence, its triggered ability immediately counters the very first spell each opponent tries to cast on any given turn. To ensure they can never break through this barrier, Eidolon of Rhetoric enforces a strict rule where each player can't cast more than one spell each turn. Together, these pieces create an unbreakable cage: your opponents are forever capped at a single spell attempt, which Erayo's Essence effortlessly intercepts and neutralizes, locking them out of the game entirely.
