How it works

1. Cast Vishgraz either from your hand or from the command zone by paying 2 plus commander tax, if applicable.
2. When Vishgraz enters the battlefield, it triggers, creating nine 1/1 Phyrexian Mite artifact creature tokens.
3. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Vishgraz, adding .
4. When Vishgraz dies, Enduring Renewal triggers, returning Vishgraz from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Activate Phyrexian Altar four times by sacrificing four Phyrexian Mites, adding 2.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop centers around Vishgraz, the Doomhive, which enters the battlefield to provide an initial swarm of nine Phyrexian Mite artifact creature tokens thanks to the exponential token-tripling effect of Ojer Taq, Deepest Foundation. You then sacrifice Vishgraz to Phyrexian Altar for mana, and Enduring Renewal instantly steps in to bounce Vishgraz right back to your hand rather than letting it stay in the graveyard. By feeding a few of those abundant Mites into Phyrexian Altar as well, you continuously generate the mana needed to recast your commander, fueling an infinite engine of death triggers, enters-the-battlefield effects, and colored mana.
