How it works

  1. Cast the enchantment creature by paying its mana cost.
  2. When the creature enters the battlefield, Composer of Spring triggers.
  3. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the enchantment creature, adding CC.
  4. When the enchantment creature dies, Enduring Renewal triggers, returning the enchantment creature to your hand from your graveyard.
  5. Resolve the Composer of Spring trigger from step 2, putting the enchantment creature onto the battlefield from your hand.
  6. Repeat from step 2.

This ingenious loop turns a modest enchantment creature into an infinite resource engine by exploiting Enduring Renewal's replacement and graveyard-return mechanics to bypass the creature's normal death permanently. Whenever the creature hits the battlefield, Composer of Spring’s constellation ability triggers to help set up the loop, but instead of waiting, Ashnod's Altar immediately sacrifices the creature for colorless mana. That death triggers Enduring Renewal to bounce the creature right back to your hand, allowing Composer of Spring's resolution to sneak it back onto the battlefield for free. By continually cycling the creature between the battlefield, graveyard, hand, and altar, you generate an endless stream of sacrifice, death, and entry triggers alongside boundless mana.
