How it works

1. Cast Realm-Scorcher Hellkite by paying 4 and sacrificing an additional artifact, enchantment or token.
2. When Realm-Scorcher Hellkite enters the battlefield, it triggers, adding 2.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Realm-Scorcher Hellkite, adding CC.
4. When Realm-Scorcher Hellkite dies, Bishop of Wings's second ability and Enduring Renewal trigger.
5. Resolve the Bishop of Wings trigger, creating a 1/1 Spirit creature token.
6. Resolve the Enduring Renewal trigger, returning it to your hand from your graveyard.
7. Repeat.

This engine uses Enduring Renewal as a bizarre recursive lens, turning your hand into a graveyard-bound waiting room where any creature that hits the battlefield and dies immediately bounces right back to your grip. Ashnod's Altar provides the necessary sacrifice outlet to fuel the loop while generating colorless mana, and Bishop of Wings steps in to provide a steady stream of life and chump blockers every time an Angel meets its end. Finally, Realm-Scorcher Hellkite ties the whole macabre dance together: thanks to its bargain cost, casting it lets you cash in an extra token to jumpstart the sequence, feeding itself into the Altar and returning endlessly to hand so you can recast it on demand.
