How it works

1. Cast the creature that causes you to get energy counter(s) when it enters the battlefield by paying E due to Primal Prayers.
2. When the creature enters the battlefield, it triggers, causing you to get at least E.
3. Activate Carrion Feeder by sacrificing the creature.
4. When the creature dies, Enduring Renewal triggers, returning the creature from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Resolve the Carrion Feeder ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
6. Repeat.

This ingenious loop turns a simple energy mechanic into an engine of endless power by leaning heavily on the static abilities of your board state. With Enduring Renewal keeping your hand revealed and forcing creatures straight to your graveyard instead of your hand, it sets up a permanent recursive cycle whenever anything dies. You cast a low-mana creature for free using Primal Prayers—which fuels itself with the energy generated upon entry—and then immediately feed that creature to Carrion Feeder. As the creature hits the graveyard, Enduring Renewal instantly bounces it right back to your hand, allowing you to recast it for energy and repeat the sacrifice to grow Carrion Feeder to infinite proportions.
