How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Mitotic Slime, adding .
2. When Mitotic Slime dies, it and Enduring Renewal triggers.
3. Resolve the Mitotic Slime trigger, creating two 2/2 Ooze creature tokens.
4. Resolve the Enduring Renewal trigger, returning Mitotic Slime from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing the Oozes, adding 2.
6. When the Oozes die, they trigger, creating four 1/1 Ooze creature tokens.
7. Activate Phyrexian Altar twice by sacrificing two Oozes, adding 2.
8. Cast Mitotic Slime by paying 4.
9. Repeat.

This clever loop turns Mitotic Slime into an endlessly recurring mana and token generator by exploiting the death-trigger cascade built into the slime family. When you sacrifice Mitotic Slime to Phyrexian Altar, Enduring Renewal swoops in to bounce the original slime right back to your hand, while the slime's own ability floods the board with smaller Ooze tokens. You can then sacrifice those tokens to the Altar for the mana needed to recast Mitotic Slime, generating a surplus of mana and an army of tokens along the way.
