How it works

  1. Cast Broodguard Elite for its warp cost by paying 1G mana.
  2. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Broodguard Elite, adding G mana.
  3. When Broodguard Elite dies, it and Enduring Renewal trigger.
  4. Resolve the Broodguard Elite trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Basking Broodscale.
  5. Basking Broodscale triggers, creating a 0/1 Eldrazi Spawn creature token.
  6. Resolve the Enduring Renewal trigger, returning Broodguard Elite from your graveyard to your hand.
  7. Activate the Eldrazi Spawn by sacrificing it, adding C.
  8. Repeat.

This crafty loop transforms a seemingly simple sacrifice cycle into an infinite engine by leveraging a clever mechanical bridge between death and growth. By casting Broodguard Elite for its warp cost, you set up a creature that is uniquely cheap to deploy and destined to feed directly into Phyrexian Altar for mana. Every time that Broodguard Elite hits the graveyard, Enduring Renewal swoops in to immediately return it straight to your hand, bypassing conventional card draw restrictions. Meanwhile, Basking Broodscale sits on the battlefield acting as a persistent amplifier; whenever Broodguard Elite leaves the battlefield, its triggered ability places its +1/+1 counters onto Basking Broodscale. This sparks Basking Broodscale to churn out a steady stream of Eldrazi Spawn tokens, which can be sacrificed right alongside your main engine to sustain the mana loop.
