How it works

1. Activate Altar of Dementia by sacrificing the creature with Deathrender attached.
2. When the creature dies, Enduring Renewal and Deathrender trigger.
3. Resolve the Enduring Renewal trigger, returning the creature from your graveyard to your hand.
4. Resolve the Deathrender trigger, putting the creature from your hand onto the battlefield, and attaching Deathrender to it.
5. Resolve the Altar of Dementia ability, causing target player to mill cards equal to the sacrificed creature's power.
6. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the graveyard into a revolving door for your creatures, letting you grind through an opponent's entire library in one fell swoop. The engine relies on Enduring Renewal's passive replacement effect and triggered ability working in tandem: whenever you sacrifice a creature to Altar of Dementia, Enduring Renewal instantly catches it on its way to the graveyard and bounces it straight back to your hand. Meanwhile, Deathrender watches from the battlefield and exploits that exact death by immediately letting you redeploy that same creature straight from your hand, reattaching itself in the process to keep the cycle going.
