How it works

1. Cast Workhorse by paying 6, causing it to enter the battlefield with eight +1/+1 counters on it due to Corpsejack Menace.
2. Activate Workhorse by removing a +1/+1 counter from it, adding C.
3. Repeat step 2 until Workhorse has no +1/+1 counters on it.
4. Workhorse dies as a state-based action due to having 0 toughness, triggering Enduring Renewal, returning Workhorse from your graveyard to your hand.
5. Repeat.

This fascinating setup exploits Workhorse as a self-sustaining mana engine by turning its own counters against it, stripping them away for colorless mana until the creature naturally collapses to the graveyard. Corpsejack Menace acts as a powerful amplifier for this loop, doubling the initial influx of +1/+1 counters when Workhorse enters the battlefield and ensuring you start with a much larger pool of resources to draw from. Once the creature finally perishes from having zero toughness, Enduring Renewal steps in with its passive triggered ability to seamlessly scoop Workhorse right back into your hand for replay. By repeatedly recasting Workhorse and spending its counters, you generate an endless storm of enters-the-battlefield, leaves-the-battlefield, and death triggers alongside a boundless supply of mana.
