How it works

  1. Activate Woe Strider by sacrificing the creature with Deathrender attached.
  2. When the creature dies, Enduring Renewal and Deathrender trigger.
  3. Resolve the Enduring Renewal trigger, returning the creature from your graveyard to your hand.
  4. Resolve the Deathrender trigger, putting the creature from your hand onto the battlefield, and attaching Deathrender to it.
  5. Resolve the Woe Strider ability, causing you to scry 1.
  6. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns a simple sacrifice outlet into an endless cycle of life and death. You start by using Woe Strider to sacrifice your equipped creature, triggering Deathrender to put a fresh threat onto the battlefield from your hand while reattaching itself. Simultaneously, Enduring Renewal swoops in to catch that dying creature as it hits your graveyard, bouncing it straight back to your hand so Deathrender has ammunition for the next iteration. Because Woe Strider lets you repeat this process indefinitely without ever running out of fodder or cards in hand, you generate boundless sacrifices, enters-the-battlefield effects, and endless scry triggers to sculpt your deck.
