How it works

  1. Draw a card.
  2. Niv-Mizzet triggers, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
  3. Bloodthirsty Conqueror triggers, causing you to gain 1 life.
  4. Lich's Mastery triggers, causing you to draw a card.
  5. Repeat from step 2.

This potent loop begins the moment you draw a card, waking up Niv-Mizzet, Parun to ping an opponent for 1 damage. That loss of life immediately triggers Bloodthirsty Conqueror, which responds by granting you an equal amount of life. Thanks to Lich's Mastery, every point of life gained forces you to draw a card, which loops right back into Niv-Mizzet's damage trigger to keep the entire engine running until your opponents have perished.
