How it works

1. Cast Transcendence by paying 3.
2. Transcendence triggers due to you having 20 or more life. However, you cannot lose the game due to Lich's Mastery.
3. Step 2 repeats in an infinite loop, causing the game to end in a draw if it isn't interacted with.

This fascinating interaction creates an unresolvable game state by pitting two powerful replacement and trigger effects against each other. Once you cast Transcendence with 20 or more life, its triggered ability attempts to make you lose the game, but Lich's Mastery steps in with its static text stating you simply cannot lose the game. However, this prevention doesn't stop Transcendence's trigger from endlessly trying to execute, resulting in an infinite loop of state triggers that forces a draw if neither player intervenes.
