How it works

1. Activate Umbral Collar Zealot by sacrificing Voracious Brood.
2. When Voracious Brood dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield without a -1/-1 counter on it due to its replacement effect.
3. Resolve the Umbral Collar Zealot ability.
4. Repeat.

This loop relies on Eirdu, Carrier of Dawn // Isilu, Carrier of Twilight granting persist to your nontoken creatures once transformed into Isilu, allowing Voracious Brood to repeatedly return from the dead with the help of a replacement effect that keeps its counters clean. By feeding Voracious Brood into Umbral Collar Zealot's sacrifice ability, you trigger the persist loop while constantly surveilling your deck. The beauty of the combo is that whenever creature cards hit your graveyard during this sequence, Voracious Brood's own triggered ability feeds right back into its power by stacking up more +1/+1 counters, netting you an infinite stream of enter-the-battlefield, leave-the-battlefield, and death triggers.
