How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar twice by sacrificing Tenacious Tomeseeker and Ministrant of Obligation, adding CCCC.
2. When Tenacious Tomeseeker and Ministrant of Obligation die, Pitiless Plunderer triggers twice, and Ministrant of Obligation triggers once.
3. Resolve both Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
4. Resolve the Ministrant of Obligation trigger, creating two 1/1 Spirit creature tokens.
5. Activate the Treasures by tapping and sacrificing it, adding .
6. Cast Back for Seconds by paying 2, and choosing to pay its bargain cost by sacrificing a Spirit.
7. When the Spirit dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.
8. Resolve Back for Seconds, returning Tenacious Tomeseeker and Ministrant of Obligation from your graveyard to your hand, and then putting Ministrant of Obligation onto the battlefield.
9. Cast Tenacious Tomeseeker by paying 2, and choosing to pay its bargain cost by sacrificing a Spirit token.
10. When the Spirit dies, Pitiless Plunderer triggers, creating a Treasure token.
11. When Tenacious Tomeseeker enters the battlefield, it triggers, returning Back for Seconds from your graveyard to your hand.
12. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns the recursive engine of the graveyard into an endless supply of mana and tokens. With Pitiless Plunderer watching your board, every death fuels a Treasure token, ensuring you always have the resources required to keep going. Ashnod's Altar converts your creatures directly into the colorless mana you need, while Ministrant of Obligation floods the battlefield with Spirit tokens whenever it dies, providing both the fodder for the altar and the necessary bargain sacrifices. By casting Back for Seconds, you bring back both Tenacious Tomeseeker and the Ministrant directly to hand and battlefield respectively, allowing Tenacious Tomeseeker to enter and immediately use its bargain ability to retrieve the spell right back out of your graveyard.
