How it works
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Strangleroot Geist, adding CC.
When Strangleroot Geist dies, its undying ability and Necrosynthesis trigger.
Resolve the Strangleroot Geist trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter and a vigilance counter on it.
Resolve the Necrosynthesis trigger, putting a +1/+1 counter on Tayam.
Activate Tayam by paying 3, removing a +1/+1 counter from Tayam, and both counters from Strangleroot Geist.
Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Strangleroot Geist, adding CC.
Repeat steps 2-4 one additional time.
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Strangleroot Geist, adding CC.
Resolve Tayam's ability from step 5, causing you to mill three cards and returning Strangleroot Geist from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Repeat.
This elegant loop is anchored by Strangleroot Geist, which feeds Ashnod's Altar for mana while continuously triggering its own return via undying. As the Geist hits the graveyard, Necrosynthesis pumps up Tayam, Luminous Enigma with the necessary counters to fuel Tayam's activation. You then spend those accumulated counters to pull the Geist right back out of the graveyard, resetting the loop and generating an endless cascade of mana, sacrifice triggers, and self-mill.
