How it works

1. Activate Tayam by paying 3 and removing three counters from Channeler Initiate.
2. Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Channeler Initiate, adding CC.
3. Channeler Initiate dies, triggering Felisa, creating a 2/1 Inkling creature token.
4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Inkling, adding CC.
5. Resolve the Tayam ability from step 1, causing you to mill three cards and return Channeler Initiate from your graveyard to the battlefield with three -1/-1 counters and a vigilance counter on it.
6. Repeat.

This engine thrives on a clever interplay of counters, recycling Channeler Initiate through Tayam, Luminous Enigma's recursion ability while Ashnod's Altar fuels the mana cost and converts your sacrifices into colorless energy. Because Tayam, Luminous Enigma also grants an extra vigilance counter to creatures as they enter, Channeler Initiate conveniently returns with enough total counters to immediately pay for the next activation. Meanwhile, Felisa, Fang of Silverquill watches your creatures die with counters on them to flood the board with flying Inkling tokens, which can then be sacrificed to Ashnod's Altar alongside Channeler Initiate to keep the loop self-sustaining.
