How it works
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Butcher Ghoul, adding CC.
When Butcher Ghoul dies, its undying ability and Sengir's first ability trigger.
Resolve the Butcher Ghoul trigger, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter and a vigilance counter on it.
Resolve the Sengir trigger, putting two +1/+1 counters on Sengir.
Activate Tayam by paying 3, removing a +1/+1 counter from Sengir, and both counters from Butcher Ghoul.
Holding priority, activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Butcher Ghoul, adding CC.
Repeat steps 2-4 one additional time.
Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Butcher Ghoul, adding CC.
Resolve Tayam's ability from step 5, causing you to mill three cards and returning Butcher Ghoul from your graveyard to the battlefield.
Repeat.
This infinite loop is fueled by Ashnod's Altar, which provides the mana you need to operate while sacrificing Butcher Ghoul to feed the engine. Each time Butcher Ghoul dies, its undying ability brings it back while triggering Sengir, the Dark Baron to grow larger and provide a steady supply of counters. Tayam, Luminous Enigma acts as the ultimate catalyst, turning those accumulated counters into fuel to constantly resurrect the Ghoul from your graveyard alongside free self-mill. Together, these pieces create a perpetual motion machine that generates infinite mana, endless death triggers, and a massive Sengir, the Dark Baron.
