How it works

1. Activate Tayam by paying 3 and removing three counters from creatures you control.
2. Holding priority, activate Bartolomé del Presidio by sacrificing Cathodion.
3. When Cathodion dies, it and Golgari Germination trigger.
4. Resolve the Cathodion trigger, adding CCC.
5. Resolve the Golgari Germination trigger, creating a 1/1 Saproling creature token that enters the battlefield with a vigilance counter due to Tayam.
6. Resolve the Bartolomé del Presidio ability, putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
7. Resolve the Tayam ability from step 1, causing you to mill three cards and return Cathodion from your graveyard to the battlefield with a vigilance counter on it.
8. Repeat.

This loop operates as an engine where Cathodion acts as both a self-contained mana source and the recurring fuel, dying to Bartolomé del Presidio to generate the three colorless mana needed to pay for Tayam, Luminous Enigma's ability. Golgari Germination steps in every time Cathodion hits the graveyard, replacing it with a Saproling token that Tayam equips with an extra vigilance counter—which, along with the +1/+1 counter placed on Bartolomé del Presidio, easily sustains the three counter cost required to keep the whole cycle turning. By repeatedly looping Cathodion back from the graveyard, you mill your entire library while generating boundless sacrifices, death triggers, and tokens.
