How it works

1. Cast Fire Covenant by paying 1 and an amount of life equal to your life total minus 1, targeting any creature.
2. Judith triggers, giving Fire Covenant deathtouch and lifelink.
3. Resolve Fire Covenant, dealing damage equal to the life paid to the targeted creature and causing you to gain that much life.
4. Sanguine Bond triggers, dealing that much damage to target opponent.
