How it works

1. Activate Will by tapping it, reducing the cost of all white and/or blue spells you cast this turn by at least 2.
2. Cast Whim of Volrath with buyback by paying due to Will's ability, targeting any permanent.
3. Deekah triggers, creating a 0/0 Fractal creature token, and then putting a +1/+1 counter on the Fractal.
4. Resolve Whim of Volrath, returning it to your hand.
5. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing the Fractal, adding .
6. Repeat from step 2.

This clever loop relies on Will, Scion of Peace to heavily discount your spells after you've gained life, allowing you to cast Whim of Volrath with buyback for just a single blue mana. Every time you cast that instant, Deekah, Fractal Theorist triggers its magecraft ability to spawn a growing Fractal token with +1/+1 counters based on the spell's mana value. You then feed that token directly into Phyrexian Altar to sacrifice it, generating the mana you need to repeat the process while infinitely stacking up death triggers, ETBs, and magecraft triggers.
