How it works

1. Cast Astral Dragon by paying 6.
2. When Astral Dragon enters the battlefield, it and Riku of Two Reflections' second ability trigger.
3. Resolve the Astral Dragon trigger, creating four token copies of Parallel Lives that are 3/3 Dragon creatures in addition to their other types.
4. Resolve the Riku of Two Reflections' second ability trigger, causing you to pay to create a total of 32 Astral Dragon tokens
5. When the Astral Dragon tokens enter the battlefield, they trigger, creating an extremely large number of Parallel Lives tokens that are 3/3 Dragon creatures in addition to their other types.

This explosive loop centers around Astral Dragon entering the battlefield to duplicate Parallel Lives, whose replacement effect immediately multiplies every token created into an astronomical sum. Riku of Two Reflections acts as the engine, letting you pay mana when that initial Astral Dragon enters to copy the creature and kick off the token-doubling avalanche. Because Parallel Lives applies to itself and every subsequent trigger, the resulting exponential growth quickly fills your board with an overwhelming army of dragons.
