How it works

1. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Eternal Scourge, adding CC.
2. When Eternal Scourge dies as a Vampire due to Xenograft, Timothar triggers, causing you to pay 1 and exile Eternal Scourge to create a 1/1 Bat creature token.
3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing the Bat, adding CC.
4. Cast Eternal Scourge from exile by paying 3.
5. Repeat.

With Xenograft rewriting the rules of the battlefield to make every creature a Vampire, Timothar, Baron of Bats turns the graveyard into a revolving door whenever a creature meets its end. You feed Eternal Scourge to Ashnod's Altar to generate the colorless mana needed to pay Timothar's exile-and-replace cost, leaving the Scourge safely in exile rather than the graveyard. Because Eternal Scourge has the unique ability to be cast straight from exile, and Ashnod's Altar provides two mana toward that casting cost (along with the one mana left over), you can recast it endlessly to fuel an infinite loop of sacrifices, enter-the-battlefield triggers, and storm count.
