How it works

  1. Cast Bloodghast by paying B manaB mana.
  2. When Bloodghast enters as an Ally due to Xenograft, Haru triggers, earthbending a land.
  3. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing Bloodghast.
  4. Activate Ashnod's Altar by sacrificing a land creature.
  5. When the land creature dies, Haru triggers, returning the land from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  6. When the land enters, Bloodghast triggers, returning itself from your graveyard to the battlefield.
  7. When Bloodghast enters as an Ally due to Xenograft, Haru triggers, earthbending a land.
  8. Repeat from step 3.

This ingenious loop transforms simple recursive loops into an engine of absolute abundance by turning your lands into expendable resources. With Xenograft designating every creature you control as an Ally, every arrival of Bloodghast triggers Haru, Hidden Talent to earthbend a land into a creature. You then feed both Bloodghast and your newly animated land into Ashnod's Altar to harvest a steady stream of colorless mana. Because Haru, Hidden Talent ensures your fallen land returns to the battlefield tapped, its subsequent entry acts as a fresh landfall trigger for Bloodghast, allowing the vampire to claw its way back out of the graveyard and restart the cycle.
