Life and Limb + Xenograft + Nesting Dragon
How it works
- Play any land.
- When the land enters the battlefield, Nesting Dragon triggers, creating a 0/2 Dragon Egg creature token.
- When the Dragon Egg enters the battlefield as a 1/1 Saproling that is also a Forest land due to Life and Limb and Xenograft, Nesting Dragon triggers, creating a 0/2 Dragon Egg creature token.
- Repeat step 3.
- NOTE: This combo creates an infinite mandatory loop that will draw the game if it is not interacted with.
This intricate loop turns a simple land drop into an endlessly cascading eruption of dragon eggs, though be warned that its mandatory nature will draw the game if left uninterrupted! The engine is brilliantly tied together by Xenograft—naming "Saproling"—and Life and Limb, which dynamically weave your lands and creatures into a unified type line where every Forest is a Saproling and vice versa. Because of this overlapping identity, the very existence of Nesting Dragon's newly hatched 0/2 Dragon Egg tokens counts simultaneously as a land entering the battlefield. That clever rules overlap triggers Nesting Dragon all over again, spawning another egg in an infinite loop of creature and landfall triggers that requires an instant-speed removal spell to break.
