How it works

1. Cast Turntimber Ranger by paying 3.
2. Turntimber Ranger enters the battlefield, creating a 2/2 Wolf creature token and putting a +1/+1 counter on Turntimber Ranger.
3. 2/2 Wolf creature token enters the battlefield triggering Turntimber Ranger, creating a 2/2 Wolf creature token and putting a +1/+1 counter on Turntimber Ranger.
4. Repeat from step 2.

By dropping Xenograft and naming "Wolf" as the chosen creature type, you fundamentally rewrite the rules of your battlefield so that every single creature you control becomes an Ally in addition to its other types. This sets the stage for Turntimber Ranger, whose triggered ability normally rewards you just for playing genuine Allies. Because of Xenograft's continuous typeline modification, however, every 2/2 green Wolf creature token generated by Turntimber Ranger enters the battlefield as an Ally itself, immediately triggering Turntimber Ranger all over again in a self-sustaining loop. This cascading chain reaction lets you repeat the process to generate infinitely large creature stats alongside an endless army of creature tokens and creature ETBs.
