How it works

1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing another creature.
2. When the creature dies, Bishop of Wings' second ability triggers, creating a 1/1 Spirit creature token.
3. When the Spirit token enters the battlefield as an Angel due to Xenograft, Bishop of Wings' first ability triggers, causing you to gain 4 life.
4. Resolve the Phyrexian Altar ability.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns the graveyard into a perpetual motion machine by weaponizing the rules of type-changing effects. With Xenograft set to make every creature you control an Angel, the 1/1 Spirit tokens created by Bishop of Wings enter the battlefield as Angels, immediately triggering the Bishop's life-gaining ability. You can then feed those very same Spirit tokens directly into Phyrexian Altar to generate a mana of any color. Because the Altar provides the exact sacrifice outlet needed to trigger Bishop of Wings' death ability all over again, the cycle sustains itself indefinitely while churning out boundless life and mana.
