How it works

1. Activate Magmaw by paying 1 and sacrificing another nonland permanent, dealing 1 damage to an opponent.
2. Malcolm triggers, creating two Treasure tokens.
3. Activate a Treasure by tapping and sacrificing it, adding 1.
4. Repeat.

While Magmaw provides the outlet to sacrifice permanents and hurl 1 damage at your opponents, Stridehangar Automaton serves a brilliant double duty: its static ability supercharges your Treasure creation by generating an extra Thopter token alongside every Treasure, and those very Thopters benefit from its passive anthem while also fueling Magmaw's sacrifice cost. By cycling the generated artifacts, you can continuously activate Magmaw to deal infinite damage and sweep the table clean.
