How it works

1. Activate Scroll of Fate by tapping it, manifesting Wormfang Manta from your hand.
2. Pay 5 to turn Wormfang Manta face up.
3. Activate Vedalken Mastermind by paying and tapping it, returning Wormfang Manta from the battlefield to your hand.
4. Wormfang Manta's LTB ability triggers, creating an extra turn after this one.
5. Repeat each turn.

This ingenious setup bends time itself by exploiting Wormfang Manta's enters-the-battlefield and leaves-the-battlefield triggers, completely bypassing its initial drawback because the creature never truly enters the battlefield the conventional way. Instead, you use Scroll of Fate to safely sneak the Manta onto the battlefield face down as a manifest, allowing you to bypass its usual casting restrictions and pay its mana cost to turn it face up. From there, Vedalken Mastermind steps in to bounce the Manta back to your hand for reuse, cleanly triggering the Manta's departure ability to grant you an endless stream of extra turns.
