How it works

1. Activate Devoted Druid's first ability by tapping it, adding .
2. Activate Devoted Druid's second ability by putting a -1/-1 counter on it, untapping it.
3. Activate Xavier Sal's first ability by tapping it and removing a -1/-1 counter from Devoted Druid, creating a copy of any creature token you control.
4. Activate Aura of Dominion by paying 1 and tapping the creature token, untapping Xavier Sal.
5. Repeat.

This clever synergy turns Devoted Druid into a self-sustaining engine by repeatedly placing and removing its own -1/-1 counters. Xavier Sal, Infested Captain acts as the core payoff, utilizing those very counters as fuel to repeatedly populate your board via his tap ability. To keep the loop going, Aura of Dominion lets you sink excess mana into tapping your newly generated creature tokens, continuously untapping Xavier Sal so he can activate his populate ability again and again.
