How it works
- Activate Vohar's first ability by tapping it.
- Vohar triggers, giving creatures you control that share a creature type with it +2/+0 and undying until end of turn.
- Resolve the Vohar ability from step 1, causing you to loot.
- Activate Grimgrin by sacrificing Deceiver Exarch.
- When Deceiver Exarch dies, its undying ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a +1/+1 counter on it.
- When Deceiver Exarch enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Cauldron of Souls.
- Resolve the Grimgrin ability from step 4, untapping it and putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
- Activate Cauldron of Souls by tapping it, giving Deceiver Exarch persist until end of turn.
- Activate Grimgrin by sacrificing Deceiver Exarch.
- When Deceiver Exarch dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it from your graveyard to the battlefield with a -1/-1 counter on it.
- When Deceiver Exarch enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping Vohar.
- Resolve the Grimgrin ability from step 9, untapping it and putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
- Repeat.
This clever loop harnesses the power of Haunted One, granting your shared-type creatures undying simply by tapping Vohar, Vodalian Desecrator to churn through your library with its looting ability. Deceiver Exarch acts as the engine's heartbeat, entering the battlefield to untap your utility pieces while getting sacrificed to Grimgrin, Corpse-Born to untap the giant zombie and grow it with +1/+1 counters. By alternating the creature's return triggers between undying and the persist ability granted by Cauldron of Souls, the counter math resets back and forth. This allows Deceiver Exarch to endlessly bounce between the graveyard and the battlefield, untapping both Vohar and Cauldron of Souls with each iteration to fuel infinite card draw and sacrifice triggers.
