How it works

1. Activate Relic of Legends' second ability by tapping Grimgrin, adding 1.
2. Activate Havengul Lich by paying 1, allowing you to cast the Zombie card from your graveyard this turn.
3. Cast the Zombie from your graveyard by paying 0 due to Rooftop Storm.
4. Activate Grimgrin by sacrificing the Zombie, untapping Grimgrin and putting a +1/+1 counter on it.
5. Repeat.

This clever loop turns your graveyard into an endless engine of resurrection and growth by pairing Havengul Lich with Rooftop Storm, which reduces the mana cost of your Zombie creature spells to zero. With those pieces in place, Grimgrin, Corpse-Born provides both the necessary sacrifice outlet to fuel the loop and a growing menace that can be tapped to activate Relic of Legends for mana. Whenever you sacrifice the zombie to untap Grimgrin, Relic of Legends helps pay the Lich's activation cost, allowing you to recast the same creature for free and repeat the cycle indefinitely.
