How it works
- Activate Whisper by tapping it, sacrificing Great Oak Guardian and any other creature you control, targeting any other creature card in your graveyard.
- Ashnod the Uncaring triggers, copying Whisper's ability, targeting Great Oak Guardian.
- Resolve the copy of Whisper's ability, returning Great Oak Guardian from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- When Great Oak Guardian enters the battlefield, it triggers, untapping all creatures you control and giving them +2/+2 until end of turn.
- Resolve the original Whisper ability, returning the targeted creature from your graveyard to the battlefield.
- Repeat.
This clever loop relies on Whisper, Blood Liturgist as the engine, tapping and sacrificing Great Oak Guardian alongside another creature to pull a creature card back from your graveyard. Because Whisper's activation requires sacrificing creatures as a cost, Ashnod the Uncaring springs into action, copying the ability to immediately return Great Oak Guardian right back to the battlefield. Every time Great Oak Guardian re-enters, its triggered ability untaps Whisper and your other creatures while granting a massive pump, letting you repeat the sacrifice and recursion indefinitely for endless entries, deaths, and infinitely large attackers.
