How it works

1. Activate Wight of the Reliquary by tapping it and sacrificing another creature.
2. When the creature dies, Wight of the Reliquary triggers, untapping Wight of the Reliquary.
3. Resolve the Wight of the Reliquary ability from step 1, causing you to search your library for a land card and put it onto the battlefield tapped.
4. When the land enters the battlefield, Emeria Angel triggers, creating a 1/1 Bird creature token.
5. Repeat.

This elegant loop turns your graveyard and a humble sacrifice into a land-fetching engine by strapping Thornbite Staff directly to Wight of the Reliquary. Because Wight is a Shaman, the Staff auto-equips to it and grants both a ping ability and a crucial triggered ability that untaps it whenever any creature dies. You leverage this by tapping Wight to sacrifice a creature—such as a bird token provided by Emeria Angel's landfall ability—which simultaneously triggers the Staff to untap Wight and fetches a fresh land from your library to the battlefield. That newly entering land immediately triggers Emeria Angel to replace the sacrificed creature with a fresh Bird token, leaving you ready to repeat the cycle until every land in your library is safely on the battlefield.
