How it works

1. Activate Aphetto Alchemist by tapping it, targeting itself.
2. Locus of Enlightenment triggers, copying Aphetto Alchemist's ability targeting any other creature or artifact.
3. Resolve both Aphetto Alchemist abilities, untapping it and the other targeted creature or artifact.
4. Repeat.

This clever loop transforms The Enigma Jewel into Locus of Enlightenment, granting it every activated ability of the nonland permanents and graveyard cards used to craft it. Once you fold Aphetto Alchemist into that exile zone, Locus of Enlightenment inherits its untap ability and crucially copies it whenever you activate it. By tapping Aphetto Alchemist to target itself and letting the copied trigger untap another creature or artifact, you generate an infinite loop of untaps that powers up any mana-producing permanents you control.
