How it works

1. Activate Tolarian Academy by tapping it, adding at least .
2. Activate Deserted Temple's second ability by paying 1 and tapping it, targeting itself.
3. Locus of Enlightenment triggers, copying Deserted Temple's ability, targeting Tolarian Academy.
4. Resolve both Deserted Temple abilities, untapping it and Tolarian Academy.
5. Repeat.

This Vintage-legal engine starts by flipping The Enigma Jewel into its Locus of Enlightenment back face, letting it inherit the activated abilities of the cards used to craft it—specifically turning it into a clone of Deserted Temple's untap ability. When you tap Tolarian Academy for a massive windfall of blue mana, you can feed that mana into Deserted Temple to untap itself. Thanks to Locus of Enlightenment's static copying ability, that untap action automatically duplicates itself to target Tolarian Academy as well, untapping both lands simultaneously. The result is an infinite loop of untapped lands and boundless mana, all fueled by the synergy between your artifact-rich board and the clever layering of copied land abilities.
