How it works

  1. Activate Phyrexian Altar by sacrificing Puppeteer Clique, adding B/G.
  2. When Puppeteer Clique dies, its persist ability triggers, returning it to the battlefield from your graveyard with a -1/-1 counter on it.
  3. When Puppeteer Clique enters the battlefield, it triggers, putting target creature card from an opponent's graveyard onto the battlefield under your control.
  4. Activate Quillspike by paying B/G and removing the -1/-1 counter from Puppeteer Clique, giving Quillspike +3/+3 until end of turn.
  5. Repeat.
  6. You may also sacrifice the creature put under your control by Puppeteer Clique during each iteration to get infinite colored mana.
